A Southern Georgian Bay OPP officer was forced to make an evasive manoeuvre to avoid a collision on Reeves Road in Tay Township on Aug. 23.
Just after 3 a.m., an officer driving down the road had to swerve to avoid being struck by an oncoming vehicle. The officer later located and stopped the vehicle and charged the lone driver.
Lindsay Blaire Foster, 27, of Tay Township was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.
Her vehicle has been impounded for seven days and driver’s licence suspended for 90 days.
Foster was released from police custody on a recognizance to appear in court in Midland on Sept. 6.
