Southern Georgian Bay OPP checked 51 vessels during more than 34 hours of patrol over the past two weekends.
Members of the local OPP marine unit patrolled the waters of Georgian Bay from Aug. 17 to 19 and Aug. 24 to 26 looking for required safety equipment and operator sobriety.
Officers also responded to 14 calls for service within the detachments marine patrol boundaries.
They participated in joint service patrols of Beausoleil Island National Park with Parks Canada wardens and were engaged in water and foot patrols at the Midland Town Dock during Tug Fest.
