Shared: Southern Georgian Bay OPP traffic crackdown leads to 124 charges over Thanksgiving weekend
NORTH SIMCOE — The Southern Georgian Bay OPP laid 124 charges over the Thanksgiving long weekend as it clamped down on traffic violations.
The OPP's "Operation Impact" campaign was focused on the so-called "Big Four" violations, which are the four main factors in motor vehicle collision deaths: distracted driving, speeding, impaired driving and failure to wear a seatbelt.
There were no fatalities or serious motor vehicle collisions in the Southern Georgian Bay detachment area roads this past weekend, said OPP Constable Susan Jessop.
