The Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit has put swimming advisories in place for three beaches in Tiny Township.

Balm Beach, Jackson Park Beach and Lafontaine Beach had water samples tested on July 18, which showed higher levels of bacteria than normal. These bacteria levels may increase your risk of developing minor skin, eye, ear, nose or throat infections or stomach irritation.

While swimming is not banned, those who chose to swim should avoid dunking their head or swallowing the water.
