Shared: ‘Take advantage early’: Weather Network’s summer forecast for Simcoe County

If you were yearning for sunshine and heat all winter long, you better take advantage of it early this summer.

The Weather Network has released its summer forecast for the months of June, July, and August — they are predicting the start of the summer to be a little warmer than normal and for things to cool down in August.

“I would say take advantage of the summer early,” said Brad Rousseau, meteorologist with the Weather Network. “We’re expecting fall to come in a little bit earlier this year.”

Above-normal precipitation is also predicted for the summer as warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico rises up to meet cool air from the Hudson Bay, creating the right conditions for summer storms.
