Shared: Task force aims to address drug and violence problems in Midland’s downtown

Midland has an extensive network of support services involved in providing assistance for addiction, mental health issues, social problems, housing issues and poverty.

The Chigamik Community Health Centre, Georgian Bay General Hospital, Guesthouse Shelter, Salvation Army Street Outreach, Shelter Now, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care and Wendat Community Programs are a few of the service providers on the front lines.

Although each organization does its best to provide the support the community needs, sometimes people fall through the cracks or gaps appear in the system.
