Shared: Tay Township man charged for driving while suspended without insurance

Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP conducted RIDE programs and investigated two traffic-related incidents between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.

Just before 8:30 a.m, on Jan. 31, an officer out patrolling Vasey Road in Tay Township stopped a vehicle for a traffic offence. The roadside investigation resulted in the driver, Jonathan Howie, 36, of Tay Township receiving multiple charges.

Howie is facing charges of: driving while under suspension, driving with no vehicle permit, driving with an unauthorized licence plate, failing to surrender a vehicle permit, failing to apply for a vehicle permit and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Howie is scheduled to appear at the Penetanguishene court.
