TAY TOWNSHIP – Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is getting ready to welcome upwards of 2,000 visitors during its Thanksgiving Harvest Festival from Oct. 8-9.

The weekend will showcase close to 40 artisans presenting woodworking, pottery, fabric art, jewelry, stained glass and more.

“The Thanksgiving Harvest Festival at Sainte-Marie is a must-do on my yearly calendar,” Shirley Tebbutt, an exhibitor for two decades, stated in a press release. “The weekend is so lively with families really excited to take in all the festivities.”

The weekend will also include hands-on demonstrations and activities throughout the historic site, including pumpkin decorating, cornhusk doll making and a Thanksgiving craft.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $8 per person. For more information, call 705-526-7838 or visit hhp.on.ca or facebook.com/saintemarieamongthehurons.
