The Town of Midland is taking a strategic approach to enhancing public engagement.
A detailed community engagement strategy was presented to council on Aug. 27, outlining a three-year framework to improve the town’s communication with its residents.
“We have to recognize the need to engage and communicate effectively,” said Randy Fee, communications and marketing co-ordinator with the town. “We will be utilizing a multitude of communication vehicles in order to meet those expectations.”
The strategy includes continued use of social media, revamping the town website, the creation of an electronic newsletter, as well as more formal and informal public meetings and open houses.
