Two Barrie boys with special needs are being told they are a detriment to the well-being of other students, and they are not allowed to return to their schools.
Liam Hanslip, 13, and his brother Benjamin Hanslip, 10, were both facing 20-day suspensions for aggressive incidents that happened a day a part at two different schools. They’ve now learned that the Simcoe County District School Board is excluding them and refusing to let them attend their schools.
An exclusion is something principals are able to issue under the Ontario Education Act.
