Four people are in hospital with serious injuries after a house fire in Victoria Harbour on Monday night.

On Jan. 8, Tay Township firefighters, OPP, and Simcoe County Paramedics were called to a structure fire on Nielsen Road in Victoria Harbour just before 11 p.m.


The house was fully engulfed when emergency services arrived with two residents trapped inside. Firefighters gained entry to the home and located and removed a mother and a 7-year-old child.


In total, four people were transported to a local hospital with varying degrees of injury that are believed to be related directly to the fire. The mother, 44, and the two boys aged 11 and 7 have sustained serious injuries, while a 17-year old male has sustained life threatening injuries. All four…
