Crews are out clear cutting land on King Street across from the Lakeview cemetery where a new Villa Retirement Lodge and seniors’ care campus is being built.

Just the facts:

• Jarlette Health Services is building a multi-phased seniors’ continuum-of-care campus, which will include 19 new long-term-care beds.

• These beds will be in additional to the 109 existing beds at the Villa Care Centre.

• Phase 1 of the development will consist of a two-storey long-term care home with 128 total beds, corporate offices, a seniors’ hub and centre of excellence totalling a combined 10,169 square metres.
