Keeping Midland police means presence at community events without additional fees

I have been keeping myself aware of this debate and attended one of the information meetings. I want MPS to stay in my town.
I want a school and community officer dedicated to my town. The service and attention we get cannot be beat by having the same number of officers available for the entire Georgian bay detachment. I want the schools to remain safe and protected.
I want to continue to see a TOWN presence at our parades and community events without additional fees being incurred.
The comparisons made at the meeting were often using regional policing as a benchmark but that is NOT what we are considering here.
Not every transition to OPP has gone smoothly, efficiently or successfully. The task committee seems very reluctant to share those scenarios.
I fail to see the benefit of disbanding MPS.
