Stephan Kramp Memorial Tree Planting Program

As we head into a new round of municipal elections in Midland, friends of former Deputy Mayor, Stephan Martin Kramp, remember him.
His contributions to the political life of Midland, his inclusiveness of all, and his love and generosity towards people will forever be remembered.

On Thursday, March 19th, 2015, Stephan entered into Eternity and we lost an advocate and friend. Stephan was laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery, Midland.

In remembrance of Stephan, an initiative is being offered this fall to all those interested through Lakeview Cemetery’s tree planting program.

For $400 per tree, the program places a maple tree with granite and brass dedication plaque naming contributors.
Should total donations exceed $400, a second tree will be placed, and so on. Trees are a minimum 8 to 10 feet tall and are locally grown and sourced through Huronia Nurseries.

The tree( s) would be planted between mid-November to mid-December, and plaques would be installed next spring.

How can one participate? You can send a cheque in any amount to Lakeview Cemetery Board c/o 539 Hugel Ave, Midland, ON, L4R 1W1. Alternatively, donations of cash, cheque, or Visa will also be received at the office at Lakeview Cemetery during regular office hours Mon-Fri: 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm. Cheques should be made out to: Lakeview Cemetery Board. Please mention that it is a contribution towards the tree program in memory of Stephan Kramp.

All contributors will be recognized on the plaque and all contributions above $10 will receive a donation tax receipt to be mailed out.

Stephan loved nature and was an advocate for its protection. A tree or trees planted in his memory, placed by his friends, will be a wonderful living legacy to a man who so faithfully served Midland’s citizens and was above all, a friend to all. Stephan you are still very much missed!
