Simcoe County: Falling Capital Of Canada?

For some unknown reason more seniors in Simcoe County take a fall than any other group in Canada. Why they do is still a mystery.  It very well could be that more seniors are more active or on the flip side they aren’t as agile.  We are aware of 90-year-old-plus folks who lawn bowl, play shuffle board, walk, bike, swim, golf, curl, et al. It could be that folks all over the province, cottage here, retire here, enjoy life here and with that there is a perfect storm for triple axles and nose dives and/or the occasional back flip..  Here’s where the VON comes in….the agency offers exercise classes, free, for folks of all ages…..learning to balance is one of the core topics VON classes deal with.  In a friendly environment, instructors lead classes through a series of controlled seamless exercises normally lasting 45 minutes.  If you have been fretting about falling, or wishing to limber up stiff muscles, the place to be is at a VON exercise class in Midland, Penetanguishene or Wasaga Beach to mention three communities where classes are held.
